Jennifer Cohen is a clinical research assistant at the Lifespan Clinical Research Center. Cohen graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor of science in pharmaceutical science in December 2023. During Cohen’s undergraduate studies, she completed three semesters of benchwork research, two semesters focused on the percent efficiency of reparation of the oligonucleotide under different pH conditions using AlkB (a protein found in E. coli). In her last semester, she performed extractions on tulip poplar to find possible new pharmacophores for antibiotic properties and to discover the specific mechanism of action in the body for those properties.
