Laura Laumann, MS

Laura Laumann, MS, is currently a psychology resident at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, working with Laura Stroud, PhD, as her research mentor. She is also a sixth-year doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at the University of Connecticut.

Laumann received a BA in psychology and Spanish from the University of Virginia and a MS in clinical psychology from the University of Connecticut. Prior to entering graduate school, she worked at Butler Hospital as a research coordinator in the Mood Disorders Research Program and Laboratory for Clinical and Translational Neuroscience.

Laumann's research aims to understand the complex relationships between stress, health behaviors, and mental and physical health. She is particularly interested in exploring the mechanisms through which physical activity reduces symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD in individuals with chronic illness.
