Certified Nurse Midwife

Megan Morris, MSN, CNM, WHNP-BC, is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She studied sociology at UCLA and completed her midwifery training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.

Megan was born and raised in Southern California. After college, she began working in post-production for film and television but quickly began to crave a more service-oriented profession.  After discussions with different providers in the health care field and a lot of soul-searching, she decided that nursing matched her goals. While taking prerequisites for nursing school in San Francisco, she began volunteering as a doula for the Homeless Prenatal Program and Teenage Pregnancy and Parenting Program.  It was during this time that she fell in love with birth work and decided to pursue a career focused on Midwifery and Women’s Health.

Megan is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.  Her interests include LGBTQ+ health, birth equity, adolescent health, supporting physiologic birth, and contraceptive counseling.

She lives in Providence with her wife and 2 young children.  Megan loves spending time outside, eating yummy food, doing jigsaw puzzles, and listening to music.
