Program Manager of the Community Asthma Programs and Administrative Director of the Asthma Camp at Hasbro Children’s Hospital

Miosotis Alsina serves as the Community Asthma Program liaison and co-director of Asthma Camp. She has a background in elementary education and development. Her focus is assisting health professionals, community members, and families to improve the health of children, particularly those with asthma.

Before joining the Community Asthma Programs, Alsina directed recruitment and community outreach for the Childhood Asthma Research Program at the Bradley Research Center and Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Currently, she manages the staff at the Community Asthma Programs, and ensures the provision of high-quality, state-of-the-art education, interventional resources, and a higher quality of life for children, and the families of children, with chronic diagnosis of asthma. 

Alsina has a passion for engagement within the community, which she practices by participating in various boards, and assisting community organizations with direct and indirect input and assistance. She has worked with community programs as a point of guidance to help secure funding and security, and provides input on historical background of program functionality. Overall she has served for more than 20 years in the health care field, and community advocacy.
