Nicole Heig, CNM, MSN, is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her undergraduate degree at Amherst College and received her graduate training at Yale University School of Nursing.
Prior to her midwife career, Nicole was a perinatal educator and doula in a community health center and a peer counselor for victims of sexual assault. She is a founding member of the LGBTQ+ Parenting and Family-Building Group in Rhode Island, a peer support group. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
Nicole's interests include supporting childbirth, helping families navigate decisions surrounding pregnancy and birth, contraception, and LGBTQ+ health. Nicole and her spouse have 2 young kids and 2 cats. Nicole loves hiking, jogging, novels, food, and knitting.
