Susan L. Cooney, RN, is a nurse navigator at Lifespan Cancer Institute. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her bachelor of science in nursing from Rhode Island College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a team member of the sickle cell multidisciplinary clinic. Susan is an advocate, educator and counselor for oncology patients and their families. She is a liaison throughout the facility and in the community, communicating the services provided for this unique patient population.
