Andrew Musits, MD, MS, is the director of the Lifespan Medical Simulation Center and has been caring for patients in the emergency department for nearly a decade. Dr. Musits remains on the front lines of patient care at both Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals. He is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and director of the Medical Simulation Fellowship at Brown Emergency Medicine. Prior to joining the Lifespan team three years ago, he served as the director of patient safety education for the Winter Institute for Simulation, Education, and Research (WISER), the simulation center at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is fellowship trained in simulation, with a Masters degree in medical education. Dr. Musits’ passion is improving patient care and patient safety through innovative and engaging education for clinicians at all levels.
