Arnaldo A. Berges, MD, is the assistant chief of psychiatry and director of adult inpatient psychiatry at Rhode Island Hospital.  He is a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He has worked on Lifespan’s transition to LifeChart and its implementation in behavioral health. 

Dr. Berges’ research interests include mood stabilization and maintenance of seizure control, delirium and dementia, chronic schizophrenia and severe Parkinsonism. His work on these subjects has been published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Association of Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists, and the Rhode Island Psychiatric Society.
