Pediatric Surgeon

Dr. Jackson specializes in pediatric and thoracic-foregut surgeries, and is part of the pediatric surgery team at Hasbro Children's Hospital and the Brown Surgical Associates Division of Pediatric Surgery.

Dr. Jackson received his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, NJ, then moved to Illinois to complete a residency in general surgery at University of Chicago Hospitals.  While there, he completed a two-year fellowship in pediatric extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) at the University of Chicago Wyler Children’s Hospital, while also pursuing research in tumor biology.  

Dr. Jackson continued his training with a fellowship in adult thoracic and foregut surgery at the University of Southern California + LA County Hospitals, then proceeded to Ottawa, Ontario for his fellowship training in pediatric surgery at Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). Dr. Jackson joined the faculty of Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center in 2007, where he served as an assistant professor of surgery and pediatrics.

Dr. Jackson’s clinical interests include chest wall reconstruction, thoracic surgery, minimally-invasive techniques, neonatal surgery and ECMO.
