Caroline Hunter, MD, is a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist and the associate director of the Brown University anesthesia residency program, where she directs the simulation portion of the didactic program in which residents solve clinical scenarios and practice crisis resource management. She gained an interest in medical simulation during an elective rotation while a resident at the Center for Medical Simulation in Boston, where she also completed the advanced instructor course. 

Dr. Hunter earned a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her residency and a cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
