Caroline Wunsch, MD, is a physician with Lifespan inpatient addiction medicine consultation services. Dr. Wunsch sees patients at both Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals.

She specializes in addiction medicine, internal medicine, HIV prevention, treatment, and primary care.

Dr. Wunsch obtained a medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she completed a fellowship in addiction medicine and was an assistant clinical professor. Earlier in her medical training, she completed a residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Massachusetts.

Dr. Wunsch is co-founder of the Rhode Island Buprenorphine Hotline and a member of the Community Action Board for TestRI. She is an active member of several professional societies including the American College of Physicians, American Society of Addiction Medicine, and the Rhode Island Society of Addiction Medicine.
