Christine Greenia, MD, is the chair of psychiatry at Newport Hospital and division director of Lifespan Physician Group's Newport Adult Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. She has also served as medical director of the inpatient unit at Newport Hospital since 2020 and is a clinical instructor of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

She earned her medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She completed a psychiatry internship at Duke University Hospital and a residency in general adult psychiatry at Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

Dr. Greenia serves on the Newport Hospital Workforce Safety Committee, the Zero Suicide Task Force Committee, and the Anouk Foundation Project Committee, a collaboration between Anouk Foundation artists and designers and Newport Hospital to beautify psychiatric treatment spaces. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Rhode Island Psychiatric Association.
