Emily S. Rowland, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with Lifespan Physician Group. At the Lifespan Cancer Institute, she provides diagnostic and medication assessment, management, and support for patients with various types and stages of cancers. She also serves as a psychiatrist on the inpatient psychiatric units at Rhode Island Hospital and as an outpatient psychiatrist through Lifespan's East Greenwich practice.
She completed her medical school and residency training at Brown University and its affiliated hospitals. She was awarded The Martin B. Keller Award for Outstanding Resident from the Brown Psychiatry Residence Program. She also serves as a clinical supervisor and lecturer for medical students and residents at Brown University. Her research interest is in physician and medical resident wellness.
