“Find a Doctor” is operated by Lifespan and includes all physicians who are on the medical staffs of Lifespan-affiliated hospitals, without any charge to them. Selection is based upon your needs and preferences. Search results will first present, in alphabetical order, physicians employed or contracted with Lifespan or its affiliates, followed by an alphabetical listing of physicians who are in Lifespan’s network of affiliated providers. At the end of that initial list, you can access an alphabetical listing of community physicians with privileges at Lifespan hospitals. All physicians in Find a Doctor have the opportunity to have a picture or video posted on the site. Neither the order of physicians, nor the presence or absence of a photo or video, in Find a Doctor is intended to reflect any preference, priority, or recommendation by Lifespan. Find a Doctor search results are also not based on the volume or value of referrals to Lifespan or its affiliates from any listed physician. Users are free to select their physician of choice from among all Lifespan-affiliated medical staff physicians.
Estelle Torbey, MD
Electrophysiologist/Cardiologist
Estelle Torbey, MD is an electrophysiologist/cardiologist at the Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute. She is board certified in cardiovascular computed tomography, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, cardiology, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
Before joining Lifespan, Dr. Torbey was an electrophysiology physician with Barnabas Medical Health Group at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey. She served as both hospitalist locum tenens and cardiology locum tenens at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York. Previously, she was an emergency medicine physician at University Medical Center, Rizk Hospital in Beirut, Lebanon.
She completed fellowships in cardiology at Staten Island University Hospital in New York, electrophysiology at University Medical Center, New York, and in advanced cardiac electrophysiology at Brown University, Rhode Island.
Dr. Torbey has co-authored many articles published in medical journals, including a chapter on “Anemia in Heart Diseases,” that appeared in Anemia: Prevalence, Risk Factors and Management Strategies (Nova, 2014). She has been a guest speaker at prestigious symposia and panels throughout the northeastern United States. Dr. Torbey appeared on "New York Doctors," a medical program produced by ART TV, and addressed the topic of women and heart health.
