Geoffrey Hayward MD, MPH, is a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist and the assistant program director for the Brown University anesthesia residency program. He is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and has been heavily involved in resident education throughout his career. 

Dr. Hayward’s educational interests lie in teaching residents perioperative echocardiography, the pharmacology of cardiovascular anesthesia, and complex cardiac physiology. His research interests include perioperative transesophageal echocardiography, patient safety, resident education techniques, and quality improvement initiatives.
