Gianna Petrone, DO, is an attending physician at both The Miriam and Rhode Island hospitals and an assistant professor of emergency medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is an assistant program director for the Brown Emergency Medicine Residency. 

She completed a medical simulation fellowship with Brown Emergency Medicine and joined the academic faculty in 2019. She served as core faculty for the EM residency and as the director of residency simulation from 2020-2023. 

Her current interests include graduate medical education, curriculum development, simulation-based airway management and emergency procedural skills training in the bariatric population.

She earned a medical degree from The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her emergency medicine residency and served as chief resident at Kent Hospital. She earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Manhattan College.
