Jon Brett, PhD, is a clinical psychologist at the Partial Hospitalization Program at Newport Hospital. He completed his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Florida Institute of Technology and the University of Connecticut Medical Center-John Dempsey Hospital.

He has decades of experience in adult behavioral health, providing individual and group therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Among other positions, he previously served as director of SSTAR of Rhode Island, Inc., an inpatient substance abuse detoxification and co-occurring treatment facility. He is a member of the Middletown Substance Abuse Prevention Council, and the recipient of a lifetime achievement award from the Aquidneck Rally for Recovery Committee (part of a national initiative to promote addiction treatment and recovery efforts) for his work in the field of substance abuse treatment.
