Kayle Shapero, MD, PhD

Cardiologist

Kayle Shapero, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist with the Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute  and an assistant professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. 

She received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and her doctorate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.

Before coming to Lifespan, she completed her cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Shapero’s clinical and research interests focus on women’s heart disease and cardio-obstetrics. She is specifically interested in the field of heart disease in pregnancy, which includes peripartum cardiomyopathy, valvular and coronary disease, as well as the management and cardiovascular sequelae of preeclampsia.

Dr. Shapero is a member of the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology.
