Keith Scarfo, DO, MS

Co-Director, Norman Prince Spine Institute

Keith-Austin Scarfo, DO, MS, is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine and is an associate professor of neurosurgery at The Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. Dr. Scarfo is the co-director of the Norman Prince Spine Institute. He manages the intrathecal pump program and has a special interest in spinal cord stimulation.

Dr. Scarfo is involved at the state and national level holding positions with several organizations including the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Before joining the Norman Prince Spine Institute at Rhode Island Hospital in 2014, he was medical director of the Pain Management Center within the department of anesthesiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Plymouth in Massachusetts.
