Lauren O. Roussel, MD

Lauren Ouellet Roussel, MD, is a plastic surgeon with Lifespan Physician Group and the Lifespan Laser and Aesthetic Surgery Center.

She earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was the recipient of the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Certificate of Commendation. Dr. Roussel then completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery with The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. In her final year of training, she was selected as one of the recipients of the prestigious Haffenreffer Family House Staff Excellence Award, an award based on exceptional qualities in clinical services, professionalism, leadership and stewardship, and scholarly activity and research.

Dr. Roussel has a special interest in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. Her scholarly activities include publications in peer reviewed medical journals, multiple book chapters, poster and oral presentations at local and national meetings, and leadership roles on local and national societies.

Dr. Roussel is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Rhode Island Medical Women’s Association.
