Attending Physician

Mariah Stump, MD, MPH, FACP, DipABLM, ABOIM is an attending physician in Women’s Primary Care at the Women's Medicine Collaborative. She is an assistant professor of medicine, clinician educator at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Stump is also an adjunct faculty member of the Mindfulness Center at Brown School of Public Health and she teaches mindfulness courses to Brown medical students and faculty.

Dr. Stump teaches internal medicine residents at The Miriam Hospital's Fain Clinic. She received a medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington. She completed her residency at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Stump also earned a master’s degree in public health with a concentration in women’s and reproductive health and adolescent health from Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, and currently serves as the co-chair for the Primary Care Physician's Advisory Committee for the RI Department of Health.

Dr. Stump is course director to the Lifestyle Medicine clinical elective at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University as well as co-faculty advisor to the Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group and the Scholarly Concentration in Lifestyle Medicine and Integrative Health at Brown Medical School. 

Dr. Stump is board certified in internal medicine, integrative medicine, and lifestyle medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a diplomat of the American Board of Integrative Medicine.  She is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, the Rhode Island Medical Society, and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). She completed the International Structural Acupuncture course for physicians at Harvard University through Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Department of Medicine.

Dr. Stump completed a two-year fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. She is also a certified Vinyasa yoga instructor and movement therapist. Her clinical and research interests include integrative and lifestyle medicine, medical school and residency education in nutrition and lifestyle medicine, fibromyalgia and integrative pain management, and women’s primary care.

She is fluent in English and is conversational in Spanish.
