Marilyn J. Weigner, MD, is a cardiologist and director of outpatient services, at the Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute at Rhode Island, The Miriam and Newport Hospitals. Dr. Weigner has expertise in consultative cardiology and echocardiography, including  more than twenty years of experience in cardiac consultation and in the direct cardiac care of patients with all forms of cardiovascular disease in inpatient and outpatient settings. She is also a clinical associate professor of medicine in the department of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Weigner grew up in Rhode Island and obtained her bachelor's degree from Brown University. She received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston where she also received Alpha Omega Alpha Honors, and then completed her residency and a fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.
