Mark Deitch, MD, MBA, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and the senior vice president of medical affairs/chief medical officer at The Miriam Hospital. Dr. Deitch joined Lifespan from WellSpan Health, an eight-hospital regional health system in south central Pennsylvania, where he was vice president of the orthopedic service line.

Dr. Deitch earned his bachelor’s degree at Brown University, and his medical degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, residency at New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery, and completed his fellowship in hand, microvascular, and upper extremity surgery at Cincinnati Hand Surgery Specialists.

Dr. Deitch served as an assistant professor in orthopedic surgery at both the University of Maryland Medical Center and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He also served as attending orthopedic surgeon at OrthoMaryland.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
