Rheumatologist

Matthew White, DO, is a rheumatologist and is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. He is also certified in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound through the American College of Rheumatology.

Prior to joining Lifespan, Dr. White was a rheumatologist with Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic, and an assistant professor of medicine at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, both in New Hampshire. 

Dr. White earned his medical degree at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his fellowship in rheumatology at Roger Williams Medical Center, Rhode Island, and his residency in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco-Fresno Medical Education Program.

He has volunteered his healthcare expertise for local organizations and communities seeking healthy lifestyle alternatives to reduce the risk of preventable diseases, and as an educator for pre-med students in robotic simulation training.

Dr. White has presented research projects at the American College of Rheumatology’s annual meeting. He strives to provide comprehensive care to each patient and enjoys establishing a relationship with his long term patients.
