Maurice Joyce III, MD

Maurice F. Joyce, MD, EdM, is an anesthesiologist and intensivist at Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals. He is an assistant professor of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and he is the associate program director for the anesthesiology residency program. He was named chief resident at Tufts Medical Center and chief fellow for education at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Joyce’s research interests include critical care of geriatric patients, acute trauma and medical education. His work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, books and book chapters. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Society for Education in Anesthesia, and the Society for the Advancement of Geriatric Anesthesia.
