Mitchel A. Sklar, MD

Cardiologist

Mitchel A. Sklar, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a cardiologist at Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute, practicing at The Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital. He is board-certified in interventional cardiology, vascular medicine, cardiology and internal medicine. He is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. 

Dr. Sklar earned his doctor of medicine and completed his cardiology and interventional fellowships at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He has had advanced interventions fellowship training at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. He also completed a preceptorship at Massachusetts General Hospital on the treatment and management of peripheral vascular disease. 
He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention, and a member of the Society of Vascular Medicine.
