Monica Serrano-Gonzalez, MD

Monica Serrano-Gonzalez, MD, is a pediatric endocrinologist at Rhode Island Hospital and its Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and an assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She specializes in general pediatric endocrinology and diabetes at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Serrano-Gonzalez’s research interests include the influences on food choice and dietary behavior in children with obesity and diabetes. Her work has been recognized in multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, abstract and oral presentations, and a book chapter. She has received research funding grants from the Endocrine Fellows Foundation and the Diabetes and Obesity Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She is a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society and the Society for Pediatric Research. She speaks fluent English and Spanish.
