Pathologist-in-Chief, Rhode Island Hospital, and Director, Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology

Murray Resnick, MD, PhD, is the pathologist-in-chief for the Rhode Island Hospital department of pathology and laboratory medicine and a professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He completed both his medical and graduate degrees at the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem. He completed his residency and gastrointestinal pathology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and his pediatric pathology fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital.

Before starting his current role, Dr. Resnick served as chief of pathology at PathAI in Boston.

He serves on the editorial boards of Modern Pathology and Human Pathology and is an associate editor of Laboratory Investigation. His research interests include eosinophilic esophagitis, immuno-oncology, and the use of artificial intelligence in diagnostic and translational pathology.

Dr. Resnick is a member of several professional associations, including the United States and Canadian Association of Pathology, the American Association of Cancer Research, and the Digital Pathology Association.
