Radiation Oncologist

Paul P. Koffer, MD is a radiation oncologist at the Lifespan Cancer Institute at Rhode Island Hospital and assistant professor of radiation oncology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Koffer received his undergraduate degree in biophysics (with distinction) from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his residency in radiation oncology at Tufts Medical Center, where he was appointed chief resident. He specializes in thoracic oncology, genitourinary oncology, and stereotactic radiotherapy and radiosurgery. Dr. Koffer’s research and academic interests include the interaction of radiotherapy and immunotherapy in lung cancer treatment and the use of predictive biomarkers in patients being treated with radiotherapy for prostate cancer.
