Philip H. Stockwell, MD, is a cardiologist at the Cardiovascular Institute, with expertise in cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, adult congenital heart disease, consultative cardiology and echocardiography. He is also an associate professor of medicine (clinical) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. His research focus is heart failure.

Stockwell received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Medical Center in New Haven, Connecticut. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, and a fellowship in heart failure and cardiac transplantation at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Heart Failure Society of America, and the Adult Congenital Heart Association. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and adult echocardiography.
