Philip Salko, MD, FAAFP, CAQSM, is a sports medicine physician at the Lifespan Orthopedics Institute. He is also an assistant clinical professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. His specialties include interventional pain management using non-invasive modalities such as ultrasound and fluoroscopy.

Dr. Salko received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in family medicine at Brown University and completed his fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

Dr. Salko has worked with multiple Olympic teams including bobsledding, ski jumping, and short track speed skating, and with multiple NCAA division teams.

He is a member of the communications committee of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and a board member of the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League.
