Rachel M. Depner, PhD, is a psychologist with the Adult Partial Hospital Program at Rhode Island Hospital

Dr. Depner received her doctoral degree in counseling and school psychology, as well as a masters degree in mental health counseling from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She completed a pre-doctoral internship in health service psychology at the VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and at the Rhode Island Adult Partial Hospital Program in Acceptance and Mindfulness-Based Therapies.

She practices through the lens of third-wave cognitive behavioral therapies, and integrates elements of existential psychology. She has a background in embodied self-regulation, adapting to chronic illness or grief, and navigating stressful life events.

Dr. Depner is an active member of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Contextual Behavior Science.
