Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Richard M. Smith, MD, is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, and has been in practice since 1989. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University, his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by residency and fellowship training at the Medical College of Virginia, the University of Pennsylvania/Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, and the University of Maryland. 

Dr. Smith is a clinical assistant professor in the department of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. He has spent the bulk of his career in general outpatient child psychiatry and community mental health working with kids of all ages and abilities, and a broad range of mental health issues.
