Sara R. Ford, MD

Pediatric Cardiologist

Sara R. Ford, MD, received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in 1997. She then spent seven years at the University of Virginia, where she completed a residency in general pediatrics and a four-year fellowship in pediatric cardiology.

She joined the pediatric cardiology division at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in 2004 and is an associate professor of pediatrics (clinical) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.

Ford's interests include all aspects of pediatric cardiology, with special emphasis on noninvasive imaging, fetal echocardiography, and disorders of lipid metabolism. Her interests include vascular reactivity and models of protection from cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury.
