Sarah S. Welsh, MD

Medical Director, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Sarah S. Welsh, MD, is a pediatric intensivist who specializes in critical care at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. She was named chief resident at Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she completed medical school and her residency.

Dr. Welsh is an assistant professor of pediatrics. Her research interests are in neurocritical care, such as traumatic brain injury and status epilepticus, resuscitation training and education. She is currently involved in a number of research projects. She is a member of the Society for Critical Care Medicine, the Neurocritical Care Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics and an instructor with the American Heart Association.
