Sydney Sumi Moon, MD, specializes in psychiatry with a specific focus on combining biological and psychodynamic approaches to medicine. Dr. Moon has dedicated much of her career to promoting holistic and integrated patient care, as well as serving the psychiatric care of patients with varied medical conditions.

After completing her resident training at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Moon completed her fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas, where she exclusively served cancer patients' psychiatric needs. Her expertise lead to a position at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts as director of consultation and liaison services. Dr. Moon has served in various leadership roles, including a position as assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. She is board-certified in general psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine.

Dr. Moon is deeply committed to the continued care of patients with changing mental statuses. She formed a specialty task force dedicated to caring for these patients during her time at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. She also provides psychiatric care of patients with medical conditions. She currently serves at the Partial Hospital Program at Rhode Island Hospital.
