Tao Zheng, MD

Allergist and Clinical Immunologist, Pediatrics and Internal Medicine

Tao Zheng, MD, is a board-certified allergist and clinical immunologist in pediatrics and internal medicine at Hasbro Children’s and Rhode Island hospitals. She has 30 years of experience practicing in academic hospitals as a physician-scientist and a physician-educator. Before joining Brown University and Hasbro Children’s and Rhode Island hospitals, she worked at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Zheng is the fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) and the fellow of American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI). She is a physician-investigator with a strong translational focus on allergy, asthma, and atopic dermatitis. Her research laboratory strives to understand the molecular and immunological basis of disease progression from atopic dermatitis to asthma and food allergy. Dr. Zheng’s clinical expertise includes general allergies, asthma and food allergy, immunodeficiency, mast cell disorders, and eosinophilic disorders.
