Victoria E. Marques, PhD, is a psychologist who treats adult patients at the Norman Prince Spine Institute and within Outpatient Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in East Providence, RI. 

Dr. Marques earned her master of arts degree in psychology and her doctor of philosophy degree in clinical psychology at the University of Maine, Orono. She completed her doctoral internship at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care in the adult outpatient track. She furthered her professional education in the postdoctoral fellowship training program in primary care behavioral health at the Providence VA Medical Center/The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Her clinical interests are providing evidence-based assessment and treatment within integrated care and outpatient settings. She is particularly interested in the use of cognitive-behavioral interventions for the treatment of depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, chronic pain, smoking cessation, and weight management.

With research interests focused on examining the cognitive, emotional, and physiological correlates of non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) and suicidal thoughts and behaviors, she has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work nationally.

During graduate school, Dr. Marques was awarded the Susan J. Hunter Teaching Fellowship for excellence in teaching, was a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology, and served on the Diversity Committee.
Dr. Marques is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
