The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) Partial Program is a highly specialized day treatment program for children and adolescents ages 5 to 18 who have autism or developmental disabilities with a co-existing emotional or behavioral disorder.

The primary goal of the CADD Partial Program is to help children and adolescents remain safely at home while they and their families work on clinical, emotional and behavioral problems that occur at home and in the community and can often lead to hospitalization. Children and adolescents receive care in a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment five days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and return home to their families at night.The interdisciplinary treatment team includes child psychiatrists, child psychologists, psychiatric nurses, a pediatrician, master’s level clinicians, behavior specialists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, milieu associates, nutritionists and support staff.

The CADD Partial Program is a family-based program; parents and primary caregivers are required to participate between four and 10 hours a week. The program’s treatment team works with parents and primary caregivers to help them better understand their child’s unique needs. The team also helps them learn and practice behavior management techniques to utilize upon the child’s discharge to promote ongoing optimal and healthy functioning at home and school.
