Lifespan COVID-19 Vaccination Program
Important Notice about the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) Vaccine
Lifespan is following the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) joint recommendation to pause the use of the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine until further notice, due to reports of a very rare type of blood clot in a small handful of individuals who received the vaccine.
Schedule a COVID Vaccine Appointment Online
Lifespan is working in partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) to ensure that the vaccine is offered to all eligible patients and in all the communities we serve. We are following RIDOH guidance on vaccine eligibility, depending on age and underlying health conditions.
If you are interested in receiving both doses of a coronavirus vaccine from a Lifespan provider and you meet the current Rhode Island eligibility guidelines, you can schedule your appointment online or by phone at 401-475-7468 (401-475-SHOT) Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note that Lifespan is providing COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment only and will not take any walk-ins at the clinic.

Get the Latest Updates with MyLifespan
As we work through the RIDOH-mandated eligibility phases, information is likely to change frequently, based on vaccine supply.
We are using our MyLifespan patient portal to communicate with eligible patients as vaccine supply becomes available. This is just one of many ways you will be able to get information about vaccine availability. If you do not currently have a MyLifespan account, we encourage you to create one—information on how to sign up is below. Please check your MyLifespan messages and this website often to be sure you have the most current information.

Sign Up for MyLifespan
Create a MyLifespan account to get the latest information about Lifespan's COVID vaccination program, and easily schedule your vaccine appointment online when appointments become available. Having a MyLifespan account is not required to schedule an appointment or receive the vaccine, but may be helpful throughout the process.
We also encourage you to continue to watch for notifications on the RIDOH website and information in the media. Over the coming weeks and months, additional community and pharmacy-based clinics will be offering the vaccine to eligible members of the public.
