Immunizations

Per guidelines from Task Force on Health Care for Children in Foster Care:

If not possible to locate immunization records 60 days post-entry, use the catch-up schedule from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

According to the Red Book 2021-2024 Report of the Committee on Infectious Diseases, 32nd edition, Children for whom immediate tuberculosis testing is indicated include:

Contacts of people with confirmed or suspected contagious tuberculosis.
Children with radiographic or clinical findings suggesting tuberculosis disease.
Children immigrating from countries with endemic infection (e.g., Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, countries of the former Soviet Union.)
Children with history of significant travel to countries with endemic infection who have substantial contact with the resident population.
