LifePACT Critical Care Transport Service

LifePACT Ride Along Program

LifePACT offers a Ride Along Program for emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, nurses, respiratory therapists, physician associate (PA) and nurse practitioner (NP) students, residents, fellows, and other allied medical health professionals. This experiential learning opportunity allows providers and students to accompany our critical care transport teams and observe first-hand our patient centered approach to performing adult and pediatric critical care transports.

In collaboration with the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, transport physicians are integral members of our transport teams. Additionally, medical oversight is provided by attending physicians from the Division of EMS at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, the Hasbro Children’s Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), and the Hasbro Children’s Hospital Emergency Department. Observers enrolled in our Ride Along Program additionally benefit from this physician teamwork experience, with the opportunity to provide direct patient care during every adult critical care transport and pediatric transport.
