Pediatric Infectious Diseases Environment and Facilities

Laboratories

The division of pediatric infectious diseases maintains a research laboratory on the Rhode Island Hospital campus. The pediatric infectious disease lab is a fully functional virology laboratory with facilities for tissue and cell culturing.

Outpatient Facility

The Pediatric Infectious Diseases, TB and International Adoption clinics are held at Hasbro Children's Hospital. The Pediatric HIV Clinic is held at the Coro Building, only blocks away from the hospital campus.

Inpatient Consultation Service Rotation

Fellows provide inpatient consultations to patients at Hasbro Children's Hospital and Women & Infants Hospital. Hasbro Children's Hospital is a 118-bed pediatric teaching facility at Rhode Island Hospital. Women & Infants Hospital, one of the nation's leading hospitals for women and newborns, delivers approximately 10,000 babies each year. Women & Infants Hospital houses a 60-bed neonatal ICU.
