Pediatric Trauma Education and Training

As a Pediatric Trauma Center, we play a central role in the local community and across Southeastern New England in education and training. We provide training for doctors, nurses, emergency personnel and many others.

Upcoming Pediatric Trauma Educational Programs

The Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course for physicians emphasizes the rapid initial assessment and primary management of injured patients from time of injury to initial assessment, life-saving intervention, re-evaluation, stabilization, and, when needed, transfer to a trauma center. The Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) course provides guidelines in assessment and management of burn patients from the scene of the burn injury through the first 24 hours after injury. The courses are open to MDs, RNs, LPNs, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, therapists, paramedics, and fire service and other emergency care personnel.
