Melissa M. Harmon, MS, RN, is a registered nurse and manager at the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Rhode Island Hospital. Harmon earned her master’s degree in nursing from Regis University in Denver.

Harmon brings several years of cardiac care to the stroke team. She has advanced knowledge in cardiac care including critical evaluation of heart failure and management of complex medication and treatment regimens. Previously, Harmon was a registered nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She also has many years of emergency medical technician experience from her time as an EMT-B.

She is the treasurer of the Rhode Island Stroke Coordinators Network, Inc. and a member of the Rhode Island Stroke Task Force.
