Amy Kite, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in hand surgery with Lifespan Physician Group Plastic Surgery. Dr. Kite’s clinical and research interests include trauma and elective hand surgery, peripheral nerve disorders, brachial plexus, microsurgical reconstruction, nerve transfers, and pain management in amputees. She also has an interest in art in plastic surgery.

Prior to joining Lifespan, Dr. Kite was a physician with UC Health in Cincinnati where she was an assistant professor and director of the brachial plexus and peripheral nerve program and, for several years, named a “Top Doc” in Cincinnati. Dr. Kite has earned multiple awards for high scores on plastic surgery board exams.

Dr. Kite earned a medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. She completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center and a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She has also earned a subspecialty certificate in hand surgery.

Dr. Kite is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Association for Hand Surgery, and the Association of Women Surgeons, where she is a member of the planning committee. Dr. Kite also serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals including Hand and Case Reports in Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery.
