Courtnie Terese Beaubian, MD

Psychiatrist

Courtnie Beaubian, MD is a psychiatrist with Lifespan’s Adult Gender and Sexuality Behavioral Health Program and with the Women’s Behavioral Medicine Program at the Women’s Medicine Collaborative.

Prior to joining Lifespan, Dr. Beaubian worked as a research assistant for two major research studies focused on better understanding the psychological issues surrounding suicide. In 2020, she won an American Psychiatric Association Area 3 Resident-Fellow Member Merit Award for her engagement and work with the association.

Dr. Beaubian earned a medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She completed a general surgery internship at Hofstra University’s Zucker School of Medicine and a psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In addition, she was a psychoanalysis fellow at the Washington-Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis.

Dr. Beaubian is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Association of LGBTQ+ Psychiatrists, Black Psychiatrists of America, and the Association of Organizational and Occupational Psychiatry.
