Graduate Medical Education

Our primary goal is to educate and prepare the next generation of physicians for practice in the dynamic health care environment. Our programs are designed with an appropriate balance of patient care, education, and research in an environment that encourages collegiality, diversity, and professionalism.

Clinical Training at Lifespan Hospitals

Rhode Island Hospital is the principal teaching hospital of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University - the only medical school in Rhode Island. The Miriam and Bradley hospitals are major teaching affiliates of the medical school. Lifespan hospitals provide the primary sites for clinical training of approximately 175 third- and fourth-year students at Brown University.
