Lifespan Outpatient Psychiatry provides patient-centric services at our West River Street office in Providence.
Staffed by a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed social workers and community treatment specialists, our program offers tailored, personal and coordinated treatment for patients age 18 and older who are experiencing a variety of mental health and behavioral health conditions.
We welcome patients who require an urgent evaluation for mental health treatment. Appointments are available within 24 to 48 hours of your call.

Specialty Outpatient Psychiatry Services at Providence, RI
Bariatric Pre-Surgical Psychological Assessment – In collaboration with the Center for Bariatric Surgery, we conduct pre-surgical evaluations to determine appropriateness for bariatric surgery, pre-surgical counseling to help individuals prepare for surgery, and post-surgical counseling to help individuals cope with life changes following the procedure.
Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program – We offer the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program as part of the Sleep Disorders Center of Lifespan. We provide evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders provided by sleep specialists and behavioral psychologists. Some of the conditions we treat include insomnias, circadian rhythm disorders, parasomnias and sleep apnea.
