About Pediatric Orthopedics

Whether your child has a broken bone or has a complex spine or bone condition, our orthopedic specialists at Hasbro Children's Hospital have many years of experience caring for children and adolescents with orthopedic problems. Treatment ranges from the non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions to advanced surgical techniques.

Our team of orthopedic specialists have fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics and offer the full spectrum of pediatric orthopedic care. We work with pediatric oncologists and radiologists to treat soft tissue tumors, and are experts in limb-sparing surgical techniques.

We specialize in the following areas:

Many conditions are managed without surgery, but surgery may be required to fix fractures, correct limb deformities, correct curved spines or lengthen short limbs. If your child requires surgery to correct an orthopedic condition, we offer a preoperative teaching program (POP) to familiarize you and your child with the surgical experience.
